The Present study was conducted to assess the groundwater inventory in Jamrani Dam Command situated Uttrakhand and Uttar Pradesh, India. Groundwater prepared for different blocks of Udhamsingh Nagar, Rampur, Bareilly districts from 1988 2010 at an interval five years. Over-exploitation has created alarming situation a few Rampur Command. In year 2010, Bilaspur, Baheri, Gadarpur, Rudrapur area were found under safe category; Swar Meerganj critical category whereas Milak Shergarh over-exploited category. maximum minimum stages development 109.08% 59.31% Rudrarpur blocks, respectively. overall stage 68.44% as whole may be put semi-critical 2010. present study, physical-chemical properties shallow aquifers their suitability drinking, irrigation, industrial uses studied. determined using standard methods water quality analysis. A comprehensive proper recharge plan identified landforms with prevailing geomorphic features been suggested maintain desired level future Various recharging structures namely: series check dams, percolation tanks, farm ponds nallah bunds are most possible techniques by utilizing excess available during monsoon season form runoff obtained land surface. Geographic information Systems (GIS) Remote Sensing applied delineate satellite imageries (IRS-1D). delineated S.O.I. toposheets also classified into nine use classes i.e. agricultural land, grassland, body, scrubland, forest etc.
